For many years DPEAP have run a highly successful Peer
Education scheme in Buckinghamshire Schools.
Peer
education has been described as young people being involved in
teaching, leading and facilitating work amongst groups of young
people of near age. It empowers young people to draw on the strength
of positive peer pressure by means of positive support and
appropriate training. Young people become active players in the
education process rather than passive
recipients.
